Livon silky potion – I love my Hair review

This product was launched somewhere in 1999 or 2000 maybe and it created a buzz. I did not get a chance to use it then but when I saw it sometime later then I definitely went running for it and have been using it since then.
I don’t remember this is my 10th -11th bottle but I have definitely tried a lot of serum including streax pro, aveda brilliant and so on but this is something which is been with me for a long time now.

Net Vol: 100ml for 200 INR

Key Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, cyclotetrasiloxane, dimethiconol, tocopheryl acetate, mineral oil.

Shelf Life: 2 years

Color of Product: transparent

Smell of the product: No smell but if you have a hound nose like I do maybe a slight sweetish smell

Directions for use: Damp your hair with little bit of water and then apply Livon Silky Potion on the hair.  After applying the silky potion, comb as usual and let the hair air-dry. You need not wash off, it’s a leave-on conditioner. It comes in a flip-open cap to control the amount of fluid coming out from the bottle..

What the Product Claims:
Livon enriched with Vitamin E and a unique CutiSoft formula, is perfect for everyone who wants perfect hair. It gently detangles hair and reduces breakage, leaving behind a shiny, protective sheath that keeps hair soft and shiny.

Feel about Product:
Well if you go through the ingredients list you will find a lot of chemicals and they aren’t hiding it. The cutisoft thing mainly means silicone. You can feel it when you take the serum in your palm. It glides and is kind of slippery. Now regarding using silicone, I am on the edge regarding this. Unless its giving me something which makes me yaaaayyy I tend to avoid it. Also, it’s your hair nothing like you are consuming silicone so I can definitely give it a chance.

This product mainly controls frizz as it says above. I won’t say I have extremely frizzy hair but ya I would like to control whatever I have. It detangles the hair nicely without any effort. I have straight hair and when I started using this product it added a little shine to my hair. So next time I used more assuming a direct relation of more product more shine. But it doesn’t work so. The shine builds on as you go on using the product regularly. Using more serum will make your hair limpy.

Coming to standing for the claims. This product stands for all the claims it said. It worked really well for me and I have been using it since years. Also make sure that you don’t apply it to the scalp. I get itchy feeling if I accidentally do that. I feel it’s a bit pricey for every time use considering the quantity provided. But you can use it once in a while and get shiny hair instantly

Good about Product:
Affordable
Travel friendly
Imparts shine to the hair
Detangles the hair
Controls frizz to a certain extent

Bad about Product:
Price can be reduced a bit
More of frizz control can be added for beauties with curly hair.

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Review

I love kajals. I have tried almost all the available ones. Starting from Jai kajal which used to come in a small plastic tub priced at 25 INR or even less. This was not an impulse buy. Wanted to buy it since a long time and finally got my hands on one.
This product created a buzz also because it was a tough competitor to the Maybelline Colossal kajal. So let’s see how well it fares.

Net Vol: 0.33 gms for 199 INR

Color of Product: Black

Smell of the product: Slight camphor smell but fades away quickly

Directions for use:
On the upper lid, draw a neat stroke, starting from the inner corner of the eye and extending outwards.
Repeat on lower lid.

What the Product Claims:
10 hr Stay
No smudge
Waterproof
Dermatologically tested

Tips:
Ensure that the Kajal tip is smooth and rounded for even application.
For a super dramatic look, use along with Lakme Eyeconic Mascara.

How To Remove:
Wipe with a cotton pad soaked with Lakme Absolute Bi-phased Make-Up Remover.

Feel about Product:

To start with I feel I have small eyes and I completely hate it. They are hardly seen when I smile… that’s a exaggeration but it’s somewhat true. On top of it I have this habit of involuntarily rubbing my eyes every now and then. So now you may understand what a smudge proof and jet black kajal means to me!!
So this was one of the additions to all the kajals I have. The packaging is similar to the colossal ones. It comes in a plastic tube black and turquoise in color and a retractable lead. I like the retractable ones more than the sharpening pencils. They waste product unnecessarily by sharping.  The mechanical rotator of this one is better than Maybelline.

My Maybelline pencils broke towards the end.
The kajal is not jet black at the first swipe. You need to build the product to get the blackest look but I don’t mind it. The staying power is amazzzzzzzinggg!! I mean atleast 8 hours it sits on your eyes without budging. I mean you wash the face, you dive into water, dance … do whatever you want but it will still stay with you. Hats off to that. And on top of it its smudge proof!! Yeaaa..! Cherry on TOP!

Now here comes the hard part, after diving and dancing you might wana remove it before sleeping and it won’t get off easily with water. So you either need to use olive oil or remover or something of that sort. This is the case only when you apply it on the upper lid. But I guess with all the pros this cons can be neglected. You can’t have waterproof and removable by water at the same time.

Good about Product:
Affordable
Travel friendly
Smudge proof
Waterproof
Long wear

Bad about Product:
One swipe doesn’t give you the darkest color.

Wishlist Buzz!!

Things on my check list for the next few months!

Well to start with I have already shopped like crazy and I have put myself under shopping BAN for now. :P

So here are a few things which are on my wish list and I am planning to get my hands on them soon!

      1.      Blazer

I was always fond of blazers. I remember those school days…winter approaching…blue blazers… awesome! I love they way they look…the way they transform your entire outfit. They are elegant and classy. Everyone should have a pair of blazers one for formals and one funky.
Well as of now I have none and I am definitely going to get my hands on one soon.
I love the classy black ones the best. But bright colors are definitely making a statement since a couple of years. The latest in the collection are the flowery, all over printed ones.

      2.      Lenses

I usually wear transparent lenses. Well I tried the gray ones long back but haven’t used any color ones since then. I am thinking of getting one of them soon as it is I have to get one anyways.

       3.      Ink Pen

I love pens!!! Specially the ink ones are my favorites. Back home I have a huge collection. It’s been a long time since I actually got a new one. This item is the last one on my list…but it doesn’t hurt to keep your eyes open and look for one.

      4.      A gadget

I recently got a camera. Well so wat..??I love gadgets…only problem is that the ones I love are a tad bit expensive. But I am going to get one soon. Maybe a good smart phone…I don’t have problem with my old one…but it’s been long since I have been using it. So time to change. Again a long term wish.

I hope you have your wish-list ready and are ready to save for it as well.
Stay fabulous..!!!
