Nautanki Saala Review

One-film wonder Ayushmann Khurana and Kunaal Roy Kapoor come together in Rohan Sippy’s

Nautanki Saala.
Well I decided to watch this movie, coz I literally did not have anything else to do and it was a kind of lazy afternoon.

Movie:
Nautanki Saala

Director:
Rohan Sippy

Cast:
Ayushmann Khurrana, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Abhishek Bachchan, Evelyn Sharma, Pooja Salvi, Gaelyn Mendonca

Well adding Abhishek Bachchan in the cast list is totally over the top, he hardly has a 5 minutes role in the movie and that too not very significant.
Anyways the movie starts slow and fails to gain pace till the end. The actress is dull (brain wise) throughout the movie. I am not sure if the role demanded the same or it was an inherent quality.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunaal Roy Kapur have acted quite well. I would say award winning performance but they don’t seem to be trying too hard to act.
Well, coming back to the movie… its very slow and the story kind of pendulums between the same two end points.  Pooja salvi is too outdated in certain areas to be a 2013 girl, but she does make a comeback in some scenes.
The movie lacks the string which holds the viewer’s interest. It becomes predictable and boring after a lapse. The replay value is a few times, but it’s not extraordinary so you are bound to get sick of it at some time.

So this movie makes you laugh at certain punches but nothing out of the box. Overall you can watch this movie if you are a diehard fan of any of the cast or you have nothing to do and are in a mood to waste some time.
The music is certainly good. I liked most of the songs, but I think it comes more under personal choice.

So overall we can rate it 2.5/5.0.
