Skin care tips for Rainy Season

Skin care tips for Rainy Season

By now you must have known my love for Rainy season. Well let’s talk about skin care now.

I personally feel that you don’t have to take care of your skin in this season as much as in others. With sucha refreshing season I think that skin care can be given a back seat…: D
I mean the skin doesn’t breakout like in winters nor does it go sweaty and oily like in summers. I have a combination skin, with the oily patches too oily.

  • The common problem faced is fungal skin infection in this season. So make sure you aren’t like soaked in water ;) for a long long time. Use anti-fungal powder for your body after bath.
  • Use non-soap based deep pore cleanser for the skin. It makes sure the pores are cleaned properly as humidity tends to expand the pores.
  • Rub a cube of ice or an alcohol free toner on your face after cleansing. You will usually need a strong toner in this season.
  • Avoid using heavy oil based moisturizers and creams. Avoid cream based make up, it will generally make your skin look oilier.
  • We don’t tend to be thirsty in this season, but make sure even then you drink 8-10 glasses of water. That helps in keeping your skin naturally hydrated.
  • Even though the sun is beyond clouds for most of the days don’t stop using sunscreen.
  • Don’t eat too much salt and spices in this season as you tend to build up sodium levels in your body and the atmosphere doesn’t allow much perspiration.
  • Add a few rose water drops to your clothes as they tend to be damp and not dry well in this season.

Hope my suggestions are useful. Any more tips are most welcomed.
Ciao..!!
