When you watch 11 movies in a GO...!!

Well, it wasn't some rush or anything. Neither was I trying to complete any pending wish list items (whats the use of having a wish list in that case). Well, it so happened that I had a short session of illness rendering my body incapable of doing much physical activity due to lack of energy hence I was at the privilege for lying around on my bed doing absolutely nothing. Being more of an insomniac I splurged my time on watching movies and before i could realize i churned out about 11 movies in a day.

The list doesn't depict my taste but basically I was watching whatever was getting downloaded easily. so here it goes.

1. Devil's Due
2. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
3. Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
4. Harold & Kumar Christmas
5. Road Trip
6. That Awkward Moment
7. Sex Tape
8. Think like a man too
9. A walk among the tomb stones
10. About Last Night
11. Neighbors

Let me tell you something you already know...

“Let me tell you something you already know.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit.
It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
How much you can take and keep moving forward.

That's how winning is done!”

-Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa

5 things that will make you more productive

1.     Saying “no” to the things you think can waste your time
Sometimes we are caught in a dilemma of pleasing others as well as ourselves. We tend to do certain things just because someone expects them from you. Sure, you can go ahead and make them happy but only when you have free time to do so.

2.     Make a to-do list and follow it.
I am sure many of you already have a to do list but how many of you follow it religiously. Making a to do list isn’t much of a pain than to follow it. if you cannot keep a  track of your to do list then set a reminder for the same or paste it on your mirror or on the car dashboard. This will make it grab your attention and there are fewer chances to forget things.

3.     Setting yourself to a timer
This is a very interesting technique. Once you get used to it, you will start loving it. Keep aside a time of 20 minutes and do only one task in this 20 minutes chunk without any distractions. Mails, calls, pings…everything can wait. After that take a 10 minute break and reply to all the distractions you got. Then get into another 20 minute time frame and so on. It might look 20 minutes of time wastage in an hour if you are a pessimist but believe me you tend to waste way more time than that in a normal life.

4.     Keep a track on where you wander off on the internet
Internet is vast and very distractive yet useful. So how smart are you to stop the distractions and make use of the only part that matters to you? Well if you need some help there, we have a bunch of soft wares available for free which track the time you spend on internet and sites. The report will help you to focus down and rescue some productive time.

5.     Plan your day the previous night
Plan your day before you go to sleep. This might take hardly 10 minutes of your time but your brain gets programmed and accordingly mind maps the day for you. Make sure you have decided what to wear, how much time to allot to office and how much to personal activities other than that. This will help you feel more organized and focused the next day.

Things that bring a sudden smile on your face?

How many things are there in this whole beautiful world that can make you smile instantaneously. If not a smile a smirk would be enough. Or are you too snooty to give it away for small things. Well, I was just lying down on my bed and thinking about such things…which make me happy even for a tiny second.

On a side note, these are little petty things which might not be very important and pass away as the day passes but I stop and notice them and make myself feel happy about it.

1.       Rain and the smell of earth when it rains.

2.       A beautiful song which was once on loop in my iPod and falls on my ears again after a while.

3.       Chicken, when I am literally starving.

4.       Smell of an untouched fresh book.

5.       A well-arranged wardrobe

6.       A new accessory, clothing etc (maybe a little materialistic)

7.       A new watch ( I love them)

8.       A baby’s innocent eyes

9.       A call from a long lost friend

10   A calm and quiet afternoon. I need some lone time once in a while.

Life as we know it

Life can be so rigid sometimes…we prefer is slow pace as we like indulging in it, enjoy the tranquil and get aligned to the flow of it and then a spur of moment comes when you feel why the hell was I so slow? Why does man always want something other than he has right now? Why can’t we just enjoy in the moment?

Life is very short. We think and we think and we plan again and again but somewhere down the line it does not matter at all. Learning to live life in the moment, striving to do something you really want to do and finally setting your feet on the destination you want to be ascertains a dream. OH, but then that’s not the end and it’s just the beginning of a new journey.

Cheers to LIFE as we know it...!!
